DEFENSIVE DRIVING – BIKE RIDERS
The Course is designed for chauffeur roles, responsibilities and service; mastering smooth driving; matters of protocol and etiquette; perfect presentation, client management, and handling client in different situations

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE (COURSE CONTENT)
THE SYLLABUS COVERS:
- DRIVER LIMITATIONS AND DISTRACTIONS
- IDENTIFY POTENTIAL AND ACTUAL HAZARDS
- THE SYSTEM OF VEHICLE CONTROL
- DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN A SYMPATHETIC MANNER, REDUCING FUEL ANDMAINTENANCE
- KEEPING A SAFE SPACE ON ALL SIDES OF THE VEHICLE IN ALL TRAFFICCONDITIONS.
- OBSERVATIONAL TECHNIQUES AND HAZARD APPROACH PROCEDURE.
- ROAD TRAFFIC LAW.
- ROAD SIGNS, SIGNALS, AND MARKINGS.
- SIGNALING, STOPPING, AND MANEUVERING.
- ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS
Assessment
Theory
There will be interactive class discussion and verbal questioning throughout each lesson.
There will be a written examination in the form of a multiple choice paper, on which there will be not less than 4 possible answers to each question.
The questions and answers will be written using simple English language to be easily understood by persons who do not use English as a first language
Practical
The practical driving session will be assessed with respect to measurement of the objectives and their subsets. The driver may be asked simple questions periodically in relation to the driving environment. Briefings will be given relating to specific tasks to be achieved whilst driving. Each driver must be able to successfully perform each of these tasks in order to be recorded as competent.
Certification & Approvals
BAM- 3rd Party BAM certification.
